- Definitions of Ergonomics and Tennis Ergonomics

- Seven main categories of Tennis Ergonomics:

  Flexibility, Strength, Posture, Balance, Nutrition,
  Stress Management and Routine Development.

    FLEXIBILITY - Discussion of soft tissue (muscle, ligament, tendon)
    and joint flexibility. Targeted recommendations, including stretching
    techniques for all sections of the body.

    STRENGTH - Discussion of proper muscle development. Specific
    recommendations for exercises targeting all sections of the body.

    POSTURE - Discussion of the importance of proper posture as it
    relates to adapting to the constant physical stress of gravity.
    Recommendations regarding tennis posture during the serve, the
    forehand and the backhand. 

    BALANCE - Discussion of the importance of balance as it relates to
    proper stroke dynamics. Recommendations for improved balance,
    including specific techniques.

    NUTRITION - Discussion of the importance of proper nutrition as it
    relates to tennis performance. Recommendations for pre-match,
    in-match and post-match nutritional intake.

    STRESS MANAGEMENT - Discussion of effective methods for
    handling stressful situations, especially during the match.
    Recommendations include visualization and breathing techniques.

    ROUTINE DEVELOPMENT - Discussion of the importance of the
    consistent application of effective pre-match, in-match and post-match
    techniques.

    Step by step recommendations regarding the application of tennis
    ergonomics throughout the entire day of each match.

- Summary
    Review of the topics discussed. Recommendations regarding
    motivation and compliance.
